Authorised Contacts

You can nominate an Authorised Contact Person (usually a family member, friend, employee or similar) to manage your electricity account on your behalf.

Customers can change or end the authorisation of an Authorised Contact Person at any time.

Authorised Contacts have access to your account information and are authorised to manage a number of account tasks.

Authorised Contacts are authorised to:

  • make changes to your account details
  • make payments or organise payment methods
  • request payment extensions or arrangements
  • manage account credit (refunded into a bank account in the Account Holder's name)
  • contact the Customer Service Team for account matters on your behalf
  • close your Eve account
  • register Life Support equipment at your address
  • advise us of Financial Hardship or Family Domestic Violence circumstances
  • lodge a Complaint
  • remove themselves as an Authorised Contact

Authorised Contacts are not authorised to:

  • take financial responsibility for debt
  • claim a concession
  • add other Authorised Contact (business account exceptions)
  • open new Electricity accounts on your behalf
  • agree to the Standard Electricity Contract or Opt In Agreement on your behalf
